	Three-Day Program

The three-day course is designed to teach the skills necessary to establish and maintain an effective hearing conservation program that will meet and exceed OSHA standards and individual state requirements.  The course consist of 20 hours of lecture, demonstration, supervised practice in audiometric testing, practical and written exams.  The program follows guidelines established by CAOHC and successful participants are eligible to apply for CAOHC certification.  CE Contact hours are available to nurses for an additional fee and CM points awarded through ABIH may be obtained through ABIH.

Upon successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge:

• To establish and maintain an effective OSHA-compliant hearing conservation program
• To fit hearing protection and evaluate its effectiveness
• To generate valid audiograms
• To conduct required employee exposure monitoring
• To educate/train/counsel your employees
• To recognize potential worker's compensation liability for noise-inducted hearing loss according to individual state regulations.

Tuition:

Tuition is payable with submission of registration form and includes program registration, program attendance, and all required instructional material. Tuition for the Three-Day Program is $590, including the $60 CAOHC Certification Fee.  Contact Hours are awarded to nurses for an additional $10 fee.
